On April 20th 2011, WEST NYC played host to The God MC, RAKIM!!!!!!! One of hip hop’s pioneers, Rakim performed at WEST NYC to launch a collaborative t shirt. WEST NYC x MILKCRATE x RAKIM!

WEST is the ONLY NYC spot to bring back the Nike Air Max 1 in White/Blue! Yea, the OG!!!!!!!!

Developed by Mark Parker and designed by Tinker Hatfield, this is the shoe that dared to be different. By contrasting blue with clean white, the shoe showcased the first ever Visible Air unit, and boasted a new midsole foot frame, heel notch and lace locks, making the Air Max 1 a bubbling cauldron of Nike innovation.

The Air Max 1 is also sometimes know as Air Max ‘87 as the sneaker was released in 1987.
