Jordan 9 "University Blue"

The Air Jordan 9 is infamous for being the first signature Jordan sneaker that MJ himself never wore in the NBA-- they were released following his abrupt 1993 retirement, inspired by baseball cleats that he wore in the minor leagues with the Birmingham Barons. In 2002, Jordan Brand Released the "Pearl Blue" Jordan 9 Low; the clean, easy-to-wear colorway made it a cult classic amongst sneakerheads. Now, as part of Jordan Brand's All-Star Weekend offerings, the Air Jordan 9 is back in that same "White/University Blue/Midnight Navy" color, arriving as a fully retro'd high-top. Paying homage to Jordan's years in North Carolina at UNC, the navy mudgard is accentuated by University Blue highlights on the heel and tongue logos.

The Air Jordan 9 "White/University Blue/Mignight Navy" is now available in-store at West, located at 147 West 72nd Street between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues. Call the store at 212-787-8595 to determine availability, and make sure to snap up this unique slice of Jordan history before it's all gone.
