The New Balance 574 “Grey Day” is a singular look for the heritage lifestyle shoe that was released as part of New Balance’s “Grey Day” collection from May 2021. In a rare turn of events, New Balance removed the model’s signature “N” branding on the side of the 574, a logo that had been featured prominently on the model since its inception in 1988. The “Un-N-Ding” colorway offers something truly unique for the ubiquitous lifestyle shoe. The mid-panel, toe cap, and heel display the brand’s signature plush grey suede. A lighter shade of grey appears on the mesh detailing on the toe, collar, and tongue. Beige “New Balance” embroidery is stitched onto the grey leather heel tab and gold “New Balance 574” insignia is found on the white nylon tongue tag. A cream midsole provides an “aged” or vintage aesthetic.
